Not Me! Monday

This has been a relatively quiet week, especially when compared to the awful weekend we had last week!  Inasmuch, I don't have a lot to confess this week, but if you head over to MckMama's I am sure there are plenty more guilty pleasures hanging about!  (Of course if you do you will uncover my guiltiest secret--that this was actually published on Tuesday and, no matter what my kids tell you, I did NOT think today was Monday until they got home from school!  And when I uncovered my faux pas, I certainly did not change the post options to make it look like I published this post on MONDAY!  Nope, didn't happen!  Because at the very least I would have realized my error when the post published "Tuesday, May 26, 2009." I am NOT that ditzy!)

That said, it was NOT ME who read MckMama's post yesterday about blurry backgrounds and spent the rest of the day experimenting with my Nikon, with varying degrees of success.  And it was certainly NOT ME who decided, in the end, that she just needs a new lens...NO WAY!  I have NOT added the Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens to my wishlist.   Thanks, MckMama!  My husband is less grateful. (Please don't judge your teaching on my application!  It was a great post!)

Great blurring, awful picture!

No blurry effect, but I like the pic nonetheless.

By far, my favorite...love the blurriness...love his expression and how he seems to be peering around the rock...I even love the shadow on his face, because I think it adds to the peek-a-boo effect! (But I definitely need light lessons!)

Hope ya'll had a restful, thoughtful Memorial Day as well.  What were you not up to?  (If it makes you feel better, I do not have 3 baskets full of folded laundry still to put away, because I couldn't put the camera down all weekend, and I am not starting the week behind the 8-ball as a result!)
