Alphabitty Moments--Week 11

Alphabitty Moments is the blog carnival created by my cyber-friend, Carrie, to encourage us to preserve the little things our kids do now, but won't do forever, well...forever.  This week it is time for the letter K.

Gabe has now tried on three sports: t-ball, soccer, and basketball. Like his brother, Will, he finds baseball "boring." (Who's child is this? And how will he ever survive in a household that eats, sleeps, and breathes baseball from April to November?--I guess that's why God gave him Will.) Then he played soccer, which consisted mainly of running back and forth the length of the field--well the width, because the league shortened the field width-wise. Clearly that was not to last, though he does still enjoy kicking the ball around recreationally (read: without the running). Then there was basketball. Um...how do I put this? Gabe was gifted cursed with the Brenneke coordination. Not pretty!

So today's Alphabitty Moment chronicles Gabe's foray into the one sport that I hold out hope for where my sweet third son is concerned. Sadly, I realized I was so overjoyed watching him pound the field week after week, that I never took any pictures! But I caught him in the backyard about a month ago--I wonder if he also inherited my distaste for perspiration? I don't think I have ever seen a soccer player decked out in a sweater vest before!  David Beckham, he isn't, but he sure is a cutie-pie!!!

Why not head over to the campground and check out my Alphabitty friends' layouts for K?  They sure have some precious children!

  3. I'm curious to see what sport Sam ends up liking the best so it was very interesting to read your son's sports story.

Your friend Caryn's niece is in my prayers!

  4. Forgot to say thanks for your kind words about my kiddos. TODAY I can agree with you - a WHOLE day with NO whining. They have their moments (DAYS actually) though. :)
