Not Me! Monday

I had this post set to auto-publish, but when I went to link up to MckMama's post, I found a post informing her readers that Baby Stellan (a month younger than Nicholas) is in the PICU with SVT, a dangerously rapid heartbeat that doctors are having difficulty converting (possibly due to his complications last summer in utero). Please take a moment to pray for this beautiful boy and for his family, especially his Mama, who waits on pins and needles at his side.

You know the moments...the ones we do NOT scrapbook about.  Like the time your kids squabbled for so long over who got to carry the birthday present to the party, even engaging in a physical tug of war for a few moments, that when you arrived at the party, you had them deliver the gift and their apologies, and leave.  (NOT me!  I would never do that!)  Can you be brutally honest?  Sure you can!  Head on over to MckMama's site for directions.  I promise you'll live to tell about it!

As it turns out, we needn't have been so worried about Gabe's inability to ride a bicycle.  We do NOT live on such a hilly street that the child has been unable to find his center of gravity there.  He did NOT take off like a pro in the high school parking lot, leaving us to wonder just when exactly he learned to ride a two-wheeler!

And I do NOT totally love how unimpressed with himself and bored with it all he looks in this photo!
Further, I have NOT fallen head over heels in love with the digital SLR Nikon D40 that my husband uses for work!  I did NOT get this close up of Nicholas's first tooth on the first try after weeks of unsuccessful attempts with my point and shoot.
And I most certainly did NOT forever ruin any possibility of ever obtaining such a fine piece of photographic equipment by commenting that I would never get anything done if I owned one!  I am NOT that stupid!

Finally I did NOT finish my bedroom makeover this weekend...It did NOT take me 4 days to remove the wallpaper and paint.
  BEFORE
And, as a result, I am NOT tempted to just live up there, because the rest of the house did NOT totally go to pot while my attention was hyper-focused upstairs!

AFTER (Please excuse the baskets of clean laundry...did I mention this project took FOUR days???)

Are you brave enough to admit you are not the picture of perfection that your scrapbooks profess?  C'mon!  YOU CAN DO IT!
