It's time for the letter C! (If you would like to see these pages larger, just double click the image.)
I was so excited that Nicholas was born with curly hair (even if I was the only one!) The other men in the household were quite concerned when after every bath, Nick would sport what they called a "man-fro." Gabe was the worst about it. His first grade teacher is now Will's 8th grade social studies teacher--yes, I know: we are so small town! When I mentioned to Gabe, after Will's conferences, that Mrs. Fuller had met Nicholas, he asked if his hair had been curly. When I replied it had, he responded, "Aww man, I wanted him to be cute when he met her!" Wow. Sadly, they got their wish, and most of the curl is gone. Maybe it will return when he hits adolescence, but, if not, it will forever be preserved on these pages. So, "C is for curls that vanished too soon." Why is babyhood always so fast to expire???

ReplyDeleteLove it! The little curls are adorable! Great job with letter "c"
ReplyDeleteI wanted my boys to have curls so bad...but NO. They both have straight hair, Snug's stands ON END, and Baby J's looks like it will also be standing up like an electric shock!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel....when my daughter's curly hair started to straighten out, I think I was actually grieving. I made a little slideshow called "Ode to Lost Curls." I'm over it now...
ReplyDeleteI love your blog...your boys are so handsome, and I love their names, too!
That is a cute little picture :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful curls he had! And such a sweet picture too.
ReplyDeleteMy little Nathan has curly hair but his Dad insists we keep it so short you can hardly tell. I secretly wish we could let it grow to shoulder length just once to see it in all it's glory! ;)
