Welcome to Not Me! Monday, the blog carnival created by MckMama, where we blog about the events in our lives that are totally not blog-worthy, while shrouding their severity and/or insignificance, by pretending we did NOT do them at all!
This week my sweet husband did NOT take me to an outlet mall to shop for a handbag as a belated birthday gift. And I did NOT find a Kate Spade leather purse and matching wallet.
I did NOT get such a great deal on both that the total came in under $75, when the retail price tag totaled $325! I am definitely NOT loving my new purse that does not contain a single diaper, wipe, teether, or burp cloth! And I do NOT love it all the more because it was such a steal! ;)
I also did NOT thoroughly enjoy being a guest reader for Gabe's 2nd grade class on Tuesday. The students did NOT love Math Curse and Wild About Books, and they were NOT thrilled to receive the two new books for their classroom library.
Gabe's classmates were also NOT equally enthralled with Gabe's baby brother and they did NOT swarm around his stroller. I did NOT, even for a second, pause to worry about the germ-factor and was NOT at all skeeved out by all the touching. And I most certainly did NOT wipe the baby, stroller, and car seat down with three antibacterial wipes before we even got to the car!
I have NOT fried the battery of my Macbook, resulting in being tethered to the wall like it is 1984. The fact that the battery will not charge is NOT making me crazy, and I am NOT so spoiled that the lack of mobility is making me long for a new computer altogether. After not being able to justify the expense of a new Macbook, I did NOT spend an hour searching the net for warranty and recall information in the vain hope that I would not have to cough up the hundred or so bucks for a new battery.
I am NOT beginning to worry that I am a hopelessly cheap germ-a-phobe!
Finally, I did NOT pull Gabe's PSP out of his pocket yesterday (during his third wardrobe change) on the way to church. He was NOT considering smuggling it into Mass, I am sure. Perhaps he was only hoping to link into the church's wireless network so that he could research the biblical references for Father Tiano's homily. Or perhaps he had previously bookmarked this week's scripture, and had downloaded a program which would allow him to annotate it for future reflection during the week. I am sure that's it! Eeeesh!
Don't forget to mosey on over to MckMama's site to see what the rest of world has NOT been doing. Maybe you'll even join the fun! Can't wait to see what ya'll have NOT been up to!
