My "You're Gonna Miss This" Moment

This week, I collated an ABC photo book for Nicholas over on Shutterfly. Looking over the pictures from the past five and half months made me realize how fast this year is going by. My "You're Gonna Miss This Moment," though, has more to do with Jim than how quickly my baby is growing. Four (how blessed am I?) of my favorite days in our marriage were the days we welcomed a new son into our family. Now that our family is complete, I am going to miss this expression when he holds our newborn child for the very first time.
Growing up and dreaming of a grown-up life, I could never have imagined finding someone to build a family with who loves babies and children as much as I do! He is an amazing father, and the greatest blessing of my life is raising our boys with him. When they are all grown and moved out, I am going to miss sharing them with my best friend: laughing about something silly one of them said, crying about some trivial disappointment or hurt, and puffing up with pride at their successes.

So, I already miss the moment when these amazing people introduced themselves to us, but even more, I already know I am going to miss all of the moments between then and the day they leave our home to start their own adult adventures!
