Alphabitty Moments--Week 7

Will received his first guitar (the one pictured), along with lessons, for his 12th birthday. He got an acoustic guitar this past Christmas. The lessons did not take--I don't think he really liked his teacher. But, he is a Guitar Hero and Rock Band champion (for whatever that's worth)! I am so proud of the way he seeks to teach himself to play. He has really improved recently, though his "musical" selections leave a bit to be desired--but isn't that true of every thirteen-, going on fourteen-year-old? He really sticks with it, downloading music and tabs, and his determination really impresses me! I love this kid!  I cannot believe that he is turning 14 in a few short months...where has the time gone?  It actually causes me physical pain when I allow myself to think that in less than 5 years he will not be living with us each and every day...(sigh).

Don't forget to head on over to MamaBear's site to see Carrie's letter G (she always some great ideas) and everyone else's layouts. My Alphabitty friends are talented and creative! It's not too late to play along...you can always work on past letters. No one says we have to be on the same letter at the same time! It is so much fun. I am loving preserving our fave family memories this way, and I just know Nicholas is going to love learning the alphabet with these completed books!

  1. My 4 year old wanted a guitar too for Christmas, luckily for me it didn't take, and just sits in the corner until he get better.
