33 week appt.
Other than blood pressure being back up, everything is looking good. Dr. McKeon is not overly concerned about the blood pressure at this point because it is a borderline reading after a low-normal reading, and he says that pre-eclampsia is more common in first pregnancies, so if I was not pre-eclamptic with #2 and #3, I was less at risk with #4. Nicholas is head down and good size. His heart rate looked good. So, next week, we go in twice for fetal non-stress tests. These will occur every week from now to the end of the pregnancy to ensure Nicholas can endure the stress of delivery. The OB team and y hematologist are now conferring about whether to switch me over to regular heparin now, because it is faster to reverse, or if an induction with a 5-7 day period of no anticoagulation (like we did with Gabe) is the better course of action for this pregnancy, given that clotting has not been an issue. Only 7 weeks left!
